Slow Flow Vinyasa Yoga Class

Class Description:

A slower paced yoga class that incorporates conscious flowing of breath with the movement of the body by focusing on both the alignment of poses and connecting the breath to the movements. The slow movement and focus build strength and stamina, increase flexibility as well as promote relaxation and focus. In a slower paced class, you will experience the poses differently, with more awareness on the transitions between poses.

Throughout the practice, there are moments of rest to integrate the practice and reconnect to both your body and your breath.  A slow flow class is designed to leave you more mindful, more relaxed and more present both on and off the mat.

All levels, ages and abilities are welcome, but having a foundations course is recommended.  Any questions about your ability, contact the instructor.

$14 for a drop-in class
**Class cards for 10 or 20 classes at $12 per class

Vinyasa Flow Class: Open Level

Class Description:

This is an open class held every Sunday @ 9am. Check our schedule for updated times and availability.

Based on Astanga Yoga, Vinyasa Flow classes offer a fluid practice linking breath to movement. Vinyasa Flow classes use sun salutations and flowing sequences to generate heat, build strength and increase stamina. Using standing poses, seated poses and floor poses, you will gain strength, flexibility and endurance while practicing quieting your mind. Expect lots of movement and breath work. Recommended for students who are comfortable with sun salutations and steady in standing postures.

Open Levels Classes offer a medium-paced flow yoga class with variations for different levels of student ability and experience, encouraging students to practice at their own level. Open levels classes are designed to challenge continuing students while supporting students who are newer to yoga. Modifications will always be offered for those students who prefer to practice at a more moderate pace.
